To this day La Mazateca maintains its historical cultivation process of typica and bourbon - two varieties that are excessively hard to find in Latin America due to its susceptibility to roya. Harvests average 2 bags per hectare compared to Colombia’s 20 to 25 bags per hectare, making this coffee truly rare and sought after.
